China Overseas Port Holding Company in Gwadar

Professor Ahsan Iqbal, the Minister for Planning, Development. and Special Initiatives, issued a directive on Tuesday instructing. the Ministry for Maritime Affairs, Power Division. Gwadar Port Authority (GPA), and China Overseas Ports Holding Company Ltd China Overseas Port Holding Company. to ensure that the 300 MW Coal Fired Power Project consumes all of its available power. This directive issued in order to prevent. any financial loss to the national exchequer. 


The project established:

According to a press release. that issued here, the minister made these comments. while presiding over a meeting to examine. The work made on the 300 MW Coal Fired Power Project. The Chairman of the COPHCL, the Chairman of the GPA. and various other key stakeholders were present during the meeting. the requirements of around 150,000 local residents by the end of 2023. The goal of the project was to increase the dependability of the local power supply. 


Economic development:


Which would help gradually solve the problems. that are preventing current economic development  caused by a lack of power. which is restricting the region's urban construction and economic development. The importation of 200,000 tones of urea fertilizer for the public sector has begun at Gwadar Port. The government of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is about to introduce. the very first transshipment policy in history in an effort to stimulate. the economic activities in Pakistan's ports, most notably Gwadar Port. This policy will not only help to generate job opportunities.

The Federal Minister for Planning, Development. and Special Initiatives, Asad Umar, has established two special committees. with the mission of formulating a program on a fast-track basis. for the development While presiding over a meeting on Wednesday here in Islamabad. The Planning Minister established two special committees. for the purpose of discussing a variety of concerns.


Economic Corridor Authority:


The first shipment of DAP fertilizer, totaling 17000 tons. has landed at Gwadar port on a ship for the first time. Chairman China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Authority Asim Saleem Bajwa. in a tweet claimed shipping of fertilizer to Afghanistan. through Chaman crossing has also started. According to what he claimed, this is the first time that bagging of large goods has been done domestically. After a bulk ship called Ultra ESTERHAZY docked at Gwadar Port on December 29th. with a consignment of 32,000 tons of urea. Gwadar Port started processing urea fertilizers. The entire process of importation will carried out in three stages.

An official from COPHC quoted as saying to Gwadar Pro. "Both the ship clearing agency. and the shipping service provider (Makran Trader) is local. This indicates that Gwadar Port is making a significant contribution. to the economic well-being of the surrounding community. He noted the credibility. that the port of Gwadar has established in the private sector is the reason. That TCP is importing 200,000 tons of urea and 450,000 tones of wheat through the port of Gwadar Water.
